Barbados Charity Ball
The first Barbados Charity Ball was held in June 2004 and was an outstanding success. This annual gala is organized by a committee consisting of representatives of the member organizations and individual members of Barbados Ball Canada Aid, assisted by the Barbados Country Team (members of the Barbados High Commission and Barbados Consulate at Toronto). The Barbados Charity Ball is the main fundraising event of Barbados Ball Canada Aid.
The Ball is attended by over 500 guests annually, including many Canadians with close ties to Barbados; and helps strengthen the cultural and economic bonds between Barbados and Canada.
The 7th Annual Barbados Charity Ball will be held on Saturday, June 12th, 2010 under the distinguished patronage of the High Commissioner of Barbados to Canada, His Excellency E. Evelyn Greaves at the Toronto Congress Centre, 650 Dixon Road, Toronto; beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Presented under the theme “Sports Barbados—World Class Fun in the Sun”, this formal event will treat guests to an evening of fine dining accented with Barbadian delicacies, Barbadian entertainers, dancing to Caribbean rhythms, live and silent auctions and opportunities to win fabulous door prizes.
The 7th Annual Barbados Charity Ball will also celebrate the recipient of the Errol Walton Barrow Award for professional acclaim and/or outstanding community service.
Dress is formal - Black Tie and Evening Gown. Tickets are $200.00 each and tables seat ten (10). A limited number of tables seating twelve (12) are available. Save the date, buy your tickets early and treat yourself to an evening of Barbadian hospitality and great entertainment.
